If nothing is done to combat this, it is predicted that drug resistance will cause the deaths of approximately 10 million people worldwide in about 30 years! This is more than the number of deaths caused by cancer!

It is estimated that approximately 1.27 million people will die worldwide in 2019 due to drug-resistant bacteria.

November 18, 2025 to November 24, 2025 is World AMR Awareness Week.
